"Just, leave it on my desk, if you will." He moved the family pictures just a bit to make some room before looking back up at the older man who....... was starting to mention the banjo. Merlin, help him if he had to pretend to care because nothing was coming. He did keep quiet, though, mainly because he didn't want to upset the man who had just given him a gift. "It's nice to meet you properly, Paul, and thanks for the plant. The name's Roderik Hirsch." And please don't give him a ridiculous nickname, okay?

Paul gently set the plant down on his desk. The pictures of the man's family were really adorable! A smile broke across Paul's face just by glancing at them. It was nice seeing people....be normal people.

"Ah...I feel bad all that food was wasted..the effort of the elves...wasted. I think the poor guys were a little...shaken by it, to be honest." That's what he had heard at least. "Nice to meet you, Roderik..." he grinned. "Like, meet you officially and not covered in food. Are you enjoying the castle so far?" he asked curiously.

He wondered if the man had attended Hogwarts?
