Hady smiled at her new younger friend. "You too and I am. It's not as bad as most think, just a little colder really." And darker. "Getting lost can be really fun though. I still get lost, most of the time on purpose now." When you're lost you find new things and places. Always an adventure.
Flowers and books? This girl was a little her! Could she keep her now? Hady grinned instantly. "I completely agree. What's your favorite flower?" She'd gladly teach her the charm to keep the flowers alive if she liked.
"I had never thought of it that way, Hady. It's true that some dogs get really huge.'' That just meant there would be more of them to pet and love. Rachel wondered how big Barkley would grow but was distracted with Hady talking about her snake. "You have a snake for a pet?'' Rachel was taken aback. She hadn't expected the other girl to have one of those, of all creatures.
Rachel giggled. "I trust that you always find your way again. Getting lost would be better when you have a friend with you.'' She continued swinging but looking over at Hady at the same time. "You like flowers too? I adore carnations and roses most of all. They're so pretty! I like weaving them into a wreath to put around my hair.''
