With Maggie turning her back toward him, Zeke took her cue and turned slightly - sitting up a little more to accept her. Placing his arm around her, he idly started smoothing out her dress and feeling its texture.
He approved of the dress.
Her giggling was enough to have him shaking her head, her response had him doing so. "Then you're missing pages," he whispered in her ear before leaning in to place a kiss on her cheek. Fibbing would get her nowhere, and that was most definitely a fib.
Squeezing his arm around her gently, he eyed the cherries, his smiling lips parted and seeking it out. He was sure there were easier ways to do this, but it was amusing enough nonetheless. "We should try that again," he added sincerely, swallowing what he'd manage to get.
