Art was secondly impressed with the notebooks Austin pulled out. Full of everything related to Potions. Art picked up the first one, the one which had been full of notes, and carefully flipped through it. He didn't read it, because it could have been personal to this young man, but he enjoyed looking at each page, full of writing, and all about Potions. He set it back down. "They're very good. I always find a notebook to-to write notes in is very handy." Art did it sometimes too! It was key to remembering things.

"Mutatio Animalia, I've-I've never made that one before." He listened to Austin describing it, and let out a slight chuckle at his last comment. "Yes... yes, sometimes the things we think are true end up being quite the opposite."
Austin thought back for a moment. "Um, a few months. It took long enough to figure out what ingredients to use." He mainly stuck with things that related to the moon, such as moonstone powder. His favorite part, though, was the fact that the potion glowed in the dark. Just getting that was an accomplishment in his book. Speaking of accomplishments, his face reddened when he was complimented. No one had said that about his potion before. "Thank you so much professor."

The Ravenclaw listened to the new professor talk about notebooks. "I find that it's better than parchment. Everything is in one place." His father had given him the notebook in his first year, thinking it would help. He had tried parchment for the first month or so, but eventually switched to notebooks. The boy kept losing all of the pages, and it was a hassle to study from. Now he only used them for letters and homework.

"I have found that to be true a lot of times in Potions." He also made a mental note to write down what the professor said in his notebook. That was a good thing to keep in mind. Especially during class. Austin had a tendency to get frustrated when things didn't go his way.

"It's quite an interesting potion. It gives the drinker the appearance of an animal. Although they still feel like a human. A very interesting feeling indeed." But once he got the feeling of it, he quite enjoyed being a wolf.
