David was carrying another small 'puff over to a cage when a GIRL--- a girl with a robe full of ferrets, no less--- suddenly stopped him.
"Ugh!" was his initial reaction, stepping away from the lean robeful of ferrets. Not the girl, there was nothing wrong with her, probably. It was the squeaky things that looked like Mum's coat that weirded him out. Clutching his pygmy puff tighter to his chest, the bespectacled boy avoided eye contact with the girl. No, he only had eyes for the ferrets right now, it seemed. "Yeah, I'd be squeaking too if I were a snake covered in fur." No offense. Not that HE was calling HER a snake or anything.
Davie looked down at his pygmy puff. "I should probably just stick to these guys, y'know. They like my boogers." Oops, that wasn't supposed to come out out loud.
