Not wanting to waste time in anticipation, Esme got straight to opening the box.
Inside she saw four numbers. She beamed. Of course she hadn't been expecting anything else, but it was still nice to see them. She had passed the first test - even though it had been easy. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Eight... Four... Three... Two...
Esme repeated the numbers a few times in her head to ensure that she didn't enter the code incorrectly. That would be rather embarrassing. Fortunately they were simple enough, so she only needed to go over them a few times before she felt confident enough to head over to the door.
