If someone had told him during the earlier part of the previous year that he would be giving David Truebridge a present and trading chocolate frog cards with him, he might have told them they were out of their mind but that was only then and as it turned out, Blaise DID have something for his friend. He'd seen it in the shop and remembered how fond of it the boy had seemed last term.
For now, it was still concealed as the young Gryffindor walked around the empty room. There wasn't much to see but he sometimes tried to imagine what it might have been and who it might have belonged to--most importantly, why was it abandoned now?
His speculations were taken down by the quill that floated next him. No doubt by the time he was done it would make for a wonderful story.
