"Happy to have the honor, Mr. Professor Hirsch, sir. But please, call me Davie." He'd almost called the man Professor Dakest just now, BUT HE WAS NO DAKEST. Not yet! MAYBE NOT EVER! "Actually," David leaned forward a bit, his blue eyes narrowing from behind his spectacles, "I DO need to know who you are. I need to know if we are going to learn about any Dark Creatures this term. And I need to know where you, sir, got your glasses, because they're quite stylish."

ACK! The verbal diarrhea struck again! David hadn't intended for the last bit to come out, but there it was. Out and on the desk. The shiny, shiny orange desk. Dash it all, Hirsch! He'd been distracted by your colorful room.
Again, eagerness. It wasn't a bad thing, more of a I-didn't-get-a-warning-or-enough-coffee-for-this thing. "Davie, it is. I'd tell you to call me Roderik but I think the other students would get jealous so," But there was one thing that was bugging him. Just the one. "Davie it is, then. But your surname.... Truebridge...... it sounds very familiar."

Those spectacles only magnified those eyes, did the kid know? Bright blue and eager and, with the hairstyle he was sporting, he definitely looked pubescent. Poor bug. He almost felt sorry for him. Almost. "You know me already. I'm your new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor." What else did he need to know, exactly? And why did he need to know all of these things? It was a bit demanding of him, wasn't it?

Kids, these days.

At the mention of the Dark creature, Roderik simply smirked and leant back in his seat, his dimples now on full display. "And why do you need to know? Is there one that you really want to learn about?" Or was it a matter of fear? The last question, no doubt, was his favourite. It even earned the boy a small chuckle from the man. He always hated them and yet..... "They're from a muggle store called General Eyewear but they handmake their frames so they're a bit pricey. You know how glasses are," Ridiculously expensive. He was sure most of it was a scam. "Isn't there an optician in the village nearby?"
