The morning hadn't started out as irritable as Altha was now, standing in the open Charms classroom, facing walls of locked cabinets. Altha had woken up before the sun was up, and had had a warm breakfast in the dimly lit Great Hall before most students were up. Charms was a class she'd been looking forward to a few minutes ago. The wand she'd received was good for DADA and jinxes and hexes and things of the like, so Altha had seen herself excelling in the Charms room today.

However this wasn't the case when only the voice of a professor was present, and with little to no instructions. It felt more like an excuse to be lazy more than anything. Altha didn't like failing, she disregarded the professors words of "Don't be afraid to fail,"; she wasn't afraid, she just didn't want to.

With a little bit of muttering under her breath, Altha scooped up her black hair and twisted a pony tail around it, ready to concentrate on the lock she stood in front of. Her eyes traveled around the room, watching for someone successful while she drew her wand from her robes. But the majority of the surrounding students were first years like herself, only they were looking completely clueless. Altha rolled her eyes irritably and turned back to the lock, not attempting to unlock it but still letting the word, "Alohamora," roll off her tongue to get a feel for the incantation. Now, she waited to see exactly how it was done.
