He shrugged in response to her question. "I'm fine." He leaned back in the chair again, getting comfortable. "I missed this place. So it's good to be back. I miss being home though, too, so that kinda sucks." It wasn't really bad as a whole. He couldn't complain too much. Kaycee offered a tiny smile. "I ran into Zeke and Maggie. They didn't look... talkative." Meaning, they were in the middle of a fight when she saw them. And she hadn't bothered running in to anyone else.
She nodded. "Does it get easier as the time passes?" she asked as she looked down. She just was hoping that over time it didn't feel as lonely. And since Kammy was in that place all last year, it would make sense that he'd know.
