Kam looked up when his feet hit the floor, smiling when he saw the cause. Kaycee was talking to him again, then. Or still. Either way, he was a happy brother. He sat up straighter since his footrest was now occupied.
"Absolutely nothing," he replied cheerfully. "What are you up to? Feeling okay about being back?" Kaycee shrugged. "Nothing really. Just looking for something to do." Or someone to hang out with. Or just... something.
"I'm okay. So far. I'm hoping the feeling lasts." she said with a sad smile. There was no point in lying. Especially since she figured her brother knew that was what she was going to say.
