But one would think the shower would have woken him up a bit, and yet there he was, his gaze foggy and struggling to gain his bearings in this new home for him.
The smell of food helped energize his senses, though, and Callum searched the room for Char to no avail before instinctively moving toward the food wordlessly - until he saw the sign, read it over, and paused. His gaze then drifted to Flamsteed on the sofa, then at Pebbles, then at the other students present. There was one in particular (Amur) who was looking at the food awfully suspiciously, and there were others who were not eating anything at all.
Maybe he was not allowed or supposed to eat, then. He was not sure what was customary in this environment, so since everyone was not eating, he would take the safe route and avoid potential conflict with the man who had exploded on them last night. The boy's gaze fell briefly on their Head of House once more before Callum ultimately moved off toward a wall to stand against it by himself, waiting quietly with his hands in his robe pockets, fidgeting with his lucky rocks and generally avoiding eye contact with the others until Char arrived. Observing. Listening. Calculating. Waiting. "Goooood morning everyone!" This went for friends. Not-friends. AND BROTHER!
HEEEEERE she was! HERE WAS CHARLOTTE! Dressed and awake and SO READY FOR BREAKFAST! Oooooooooooh
OOOOOH BREAKFAST YES.
... were they allowed any yet? Were they? She inched closer and closer to the table and made adoring eyes at the pancakes.
