~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~
She hadn't been awake. Not really. Not fully. It had been a half-aware amble down from her dorm and into the common room for the meeting. Once there, however, things changed. Drastically and immediately.
She. Was. Awake. WIDE awake. Sooooo very awake that it felt as if even her mussed up hair was standing alert on-end. And she was staring. At the food. At the students gobbling it up like blind turkeys. At the now seemingly calm Professor. At the sign.
Did no one else realize?!
Pursing her lips, Amur picked her way through the students, offering several 'excuse me's , 'pardon's', 'so sorry's', 'morning's' and one 'cute pj's and a 'nice abs' to a student who if she took a fraction more time to acknowledge, she might have realized was none other than her best friend, Zeke, and promptly died of embarrassement on the spot. As it was, she made it successfully to her goal without any such realization. Which, involved coming near enough face-to-face with the Head Boy. Erm. "Hey.....Fancy spell work last night." Cause it was neat seeing the guy deflect the food so easily. And really she didn't have any super hard feelings against him or anything, but she had participated in the fight against him. So, what was she to say? Or should she choose another seat? "And ... uhm...congrats." She made something of a pointing gesture at the badge and then feeling ten degrees of awkward, promptly deposited herself next to Blaise and his heaping plate. Apparently another seat was not an option.
Her eyes went between him and the Head Boy, but she couldn't quite keep them off the food that practically was his plate. Amur leaned over slightly, looking between him and his cousin. The did remember that Flamsteed practically wanted to gut them all the night before, right? And that he was suspiciously at ease with things. What had he done? What was actually IN the food?
Amur drew back from her leaning slightly, keeping her voice low lest the pet rock hear her, and trying to speak to Bentley so as not to upset the conversation between Blaise and the Head Boy. Whether it worked or not was another matter entirely. "Do you really think it's wise to eat food with an ultimatum attached to it?"
And in case either of the cousins were confused, Amur quickly gestured up to the sign. There was of course, the chance that the food might be a peace offering of sorts, but at the moment, Amur didn't trust it.
