September 2nd. The morning after the evening where Gryffindors went Gryffindoring at the start of term feast. Hopefully you got enough rest to look lively - or at least be able to fake it - for this 8:30 am meeting in the common room. Despite the chill in the crisp morning air outside, the common room itself is quite pleasant thanks to the roaring fire and the tantalizing smells coming from a long table set out beside it. A humble breakfast buffet of pancakes with various toppings and syrups along with other breakfast essentials such as scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and toast await your arrival. There are paper plates, cups, and plastic cutlery for your disposal and jugs of juice as well and hot coffee and tea set to the side.

But this morning isn't all fun and games as you are well aware of and the presence of Professor Flamsteed lounging on one of the lush red sofa's may be a reminder of that. Although he does seem to be in better spirits this morning and nibbling on a danish with his trust pet rock nestled on a pillow at his side as he looks over the morning's agenda. Above the fireplace written in large crimson letters is a sign that reads :

So come on down, pajamas are welcome, and hopefully this will not be too painful an experience for all?
