Austin has been shy most of his life, and his circle of friends is small. But that never bothered him. He's more than happy to sit alone on The Hogwarts Express and re-read his potions notebook. Although this year he plans on changing all that. He's ready to make friends, and get noticed.

But there's more to this boy than a pretty face and a potions notebook. The free time he has at home gets spent in the kitchen, baking. He's made anything from crackers to cheesecake, and loves putting his own cinnamony twist on things. If his dreams to be a potions master doesn't work out, he hopes to own his own bakery.

At the end of the day, Austin is a chill, and lovable guy who has a big heart. He'll look after first years as if they were his own siblings, and tries his best to stay out of trouble. Although that doesn't always work out since he has a big anger problem. Anyone around during the Start of Term Feast in his third term could see that. Even in his potion making, when something goes wrong, he's more than likely to turn red and walk around the room, than start over.

Austin's father, Alex, married Holly Anderson on February 14th, 2071. Together they bought a small pub in Chigwell, a suburb outside of London. And in the flat above the pub is where our story begins. Austin was born in that very house on January 13th, 2073, bringing their loving family from two to three. Once she fell in love, Holly did her best to keep her magic to herself. She was happy learning how to do things the muggle way, even fell in love with muggle food, and their way of cooking. She was hoping her son would take after his father, and keep the magic a secret. But when Austin turned two, things began moving without explanation. At first it was simple things that Alex didn't even notice, a lamp, or the remote. Anything bigger than that, Holly would brush off questions. Though, once the young boy made the microwave float in front of Alex's eyes, she knew she had to come clean. Alex was more thrilled than shocked, and was happy to be apart of one big secret.

After Austin was accepted into Hogwarts, Holly opened up a wizarding pub, below the muggle one. She served everything from Butterbeer to healing potions, since that was what she did best. Austin loves to believe his love of Potions came from her.

Before Austin left for his second year of school, his mother fell pregnant again, this time with a baby girl. The new brother was more than ready for some responsibility around the house, although he was nervous that she would take up all of the attention. Nothing could prepare the Moore's for the birth of Lucille. Lucy was born towards the end of Austin's second term, but Holly Moore never made it past child birth. Both were devastated, but handled it in their own ways. Austin did everything he could to help out with the baby over the summer, and in his free time threw himself into baking and potion making. Alex, when not busy with the baby, kept the pub as clean and well mannered as he could. Although the wizard pub, that was run by Holly, had been shut down. Originally, Austin had blamed Lucy for their mother's death. But after a few years, he grew to love and care for her.

Now the three of them live as best they can in the flat above the pub. Most of their days are filled with ordering take out (a food Alex introduced), and making desserts. Even Lucy will help out with the pies and cookies. They're no perfect family, but they do what they can.
