He hadn't had the chance to try that yet. Did this lake have gillyweed? He leaned over the side of the boat with interest, wishing he could see down into the water. He would finally be able to experience what would happen, firsthand!
Maybe there were other plants from the aquatic habitat in here too. Jaemin squinted a bit, to no avail.
"Soon," he whispered, more to himself and the water than Cornelius. "Sooooon."
As was his habit, Cornelius observed as Jaemin's gaze wandered from his own extended hand to the latter's slimy one. He had no problem with gross things. Come on, he ATE beetles at some point in his life because of protein and muscle building. Maybe that's why he was so tall. He should gather some beetles for little Jay here.
So now it was like if they were holding hands. Fine, whatever. Very little bothered Cornelius.

Cornelius nodded at Jaemin's comment on Gillyweed. "That's what I thought." He wasn't going to mention anything about his astigmatism in the dark and that couldn't really see what was in his new mate's hand. He did squint his eyes, though. "I reckon you can eat it, and then you'll get these wicked gills and webby hands and feet." the Gillyweed. One day, he was going to be a fish.
Glancing back at the castle, Cornelius double-backed. "Soon what?" Was Jaemin planning on taking a swim with the fishies?
