Cornelius nodded absentmindedly at Jaemin as he sounded his name. Yeah, he got that a lot. Glancing back at the thing on Jaemin's hand, Cornelius leaned forward and took a whiff. "Smells...ocean-y. Can't be gillyweed." He shrugged.

The tall boy wanted to shake his hand, but Jaemin's shaking hand was currently... very involved with some lake plant. The boy looked at the offered hand, then at his own, before reaching and holding onto the other boy's with his left instead. The result wasn't so much a handshake as it was hands being held and bounced up and down, but surely that worked well enough.

"Gillyweed moves. A lot." He nodded knowingly. "Dad has some in one of his habitats, he says you shouldn't eat it but I read about it once and the book said you can."

He hadn't had the chance to try that yet. Did this lake have gillyweed? He leaned over the side of the boat with interest, wishing he could see down into the water. He would finally be able to experience what would happen, firsthand!

Maybe there were other plants from the aquatic habitat in here too. Jaemin squinted a bit, to no avail.

"Soon," he whispered, more to himself and the water than Cornelius. "Sooooon."
