"You have egg on your face Beatrice, did you know that? Right there." Nina's voice was full of self-righteousness.
Beatrice ducked, her face going bright red. "I didn't... I didn't mean to... to say that you didn't know what you were talking about."
"Oh, really? Is that because you're so very wrong, and everyone knows it, or because you are actually sorry?"
Beatrice couldn't even look at her sister. For telling her off in front of these people, only to be wrong and have her face rubbed in it. That was humiliating.
