"That is so pretty! What is it Mama?"
"That's a time-turner! I didn't know you had one of those! Can I borrow it? Oh, I just want to go back and re-live my date! Please, mama, I promise I will just watch, and I won't interfere with... with... what?" She blinked, her mother giving her a stare.
"It's not real, Nina. How would I have a real time-turner in my jewellery box?"
Nina's shoulders slumped.
"What's a time-turner?" Beatrice asked.
"It's a time travelling device. It lets you go back in time. Well... at least the real ones do, anyway."
