Light and sound filled the sky. The lightning went ZAP, and the thunder went RUMBLE. The two little girls were lying backwards on the grass, watching the performance of the sky.
Until their mother noticed them outside.
"GIRLS! What do you think you're doing outside in a thunderstorm?" she shrieked with worry, dragging them back inside.
"We were just watching the performance, mama."
"And what if the lightning had zapped you? HMM? What then?"
They looked at each other. "The lightning? Zap us?"
"Yes! Sometimes the bolt of lightning hits the ground. What if you had been in its way?"
