There was another girl, looked around Alice's age.. She said her name was Ava. "Nice to meet you Ava! I'm Alice!" There were so many new people.. How would she remember all the names?

Some boy (Zeke) smiled and waved her way, so of course she did the best. Her blue eyes, scanning him and all the other older students. She would be like them one day, looking at the younger ones.

Then.. some girl.. Luckily another redhead, but even so.. she hugged Alice.. Alice was shocked.. what would she even say? The girl did say sorry.. "Oh.. well it's okay.. my name's Alice." Her Scottish accent popping out as she smiled.. The girl was older and pretty and what Alice hoped to be.

When Spence got gryffindor Hope whistled and cheered. As he sat down, Hope hugged him back. She almost gave him a kiss with her excitement but then remembered where she was and pulled back. " you would of been stuck with me anyway. You can't get rid of me that easy." she teased as she sat back down. "Merlin this is so exciting! I just new we would be Gryffindors together! This year is going to be great!" the smile on her face was huge.

A first year Jessie sat down beside Hope. The girl seemed a little shy and usually Hope was too, but her excitement over came her shyness. "Hi! I'm Hope. It's nice to meet you!! I'm so glad we are Gryffindors together." she smiled at the girl. And held out for her to shake.

Just as she was about to get a handshake from Jessie, Arista made her way over bear hugging her. Her babies?? She loved this girls spunk! "We grow up so fast. It's so amazing! Every one is being nice so far! I'm so glad to be a Gryffindor. I know I keep saying it, but I'm just too excited!!! Now we can hang out more!" Arista was surely going to become like a sister to Hope. And Thomas a brother. They were an amazing couple.

She cheered as more firsties were called out as Gryffindors. She didn't know how every one would fit on this table!

Up up UUUUUP the ghost went. Right up through the middle of the Gryffindor table in his usual ceremonial manner and with en especially proud look upon his semitransparent features. Even his ruff seemed a bit more plump than usual - and that was because it most certainly was. Extra fluff per victorious term.

"GOOD EVENING, GRYFFINDORS!" he trumpeted complete with puffed out chest. "Welcome to our newly sorted, those lucky enough to have been granted the right by the Sorting Hat to join the ranks of the wizarding world's most brave of heart! I am Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington at your service. Resident ghost of Gryffindor Tower."

To conclude, he offered the table a gentleman's bow from the waist. He need not be careful this evening about his head wobbling too much as his ruff was more than sufficient enough to keep it in place.

As she made her way into the great hall, AJ realized this was literally one of the first times she had ever made it to the feast on time... no, scratch that... she was early. It was all thanks to the girl beside her too. Not having any distractions surely played a part in it too, but whatever the reason, here she was. The older lion let Marsha lead her over to her Gryffindor family. Apparently Sha had a certain seat in mind, and AJ was cool with any seating arrangement because there wasn't such a thing as a bad seat at the lion table.

Holding on to Sha's hand, AJ waved and fist bumped her friends as she went by. Look at their newest head boy. "Yoongi!" she hollered over her shoulder. "I see you working that badge." Which in AJ language meant 'congrats'. Oh, and there was their newest prefect, Candice. "Candy cane!" Where did that name come from? Who knew. AJ even surprised herself with her word vomit sometimes. "Guess you gotta be good now, eh?" Better her than AJ. Could you imagine? But, she was happy for her friend because apparently some people actually wanted to be a prefect.

One of her best friends caught her eye. "ARISTA!" She seemed to be in mid conversation, but you couldn't just walk by one of your besties and not holler at her. Before she could greet anymore people, they had reached their destination. AJ looked over at Lance and gave him a warm smile. "Sup, Lance?" The brunette didn't think anything about the hand holding situation because her and Sha were such good friends and they always seemed to be dragging the other places. It felt natural. Besides, she was still taking everything in, and never thought to take her hand back.
