She was used to them, and none of them scared her - well the Baron did at times. "Hello there, Fat Friar. I hope you are well." He seemed as jolly as ever. In her opinion Hufflepuff had the best ghost because he was so friendly and accepting of everyone.
Esme continued to smile at Henric. He was as nice as he was handsome. She was glad that she had the chance to meet him and his fellow Prefect since she hadn't had the chance to up until now even if she had seen them in classes. "Thank you," she said as she gladly took one of the pumpkin treats. "I had a very good summer. Did you?" Hopefully he had, because who wanted to have a crappy summer? Esme sure didn't!
As the other Prefect arrived, Esme sent her a smile as well. Her name was Norah. She remembered that from when she had gotten the position last term. "Hello1 Did you have a nice summer?" That seemed to be one of the main questions to ask during feasts, but it was a nice way catch up with people and make friends, so no one really seemed to mind it.
Seeing an older Ravenclaw (Abby) stop by the table, Esme sent her a smile as well. She had seen her and her sisters in classes, though she had never been able to tell them apart. Which sister was this? There were three of them, so it was hard to tell. "Hello. I'm Esme." She noticed that the girl seemed a little sad, and wondered if she should ask what was wrong. Some people didn't like talking about things that upset them and she didn't want to be a bother.
And there was her sister...making an entrance as always.
Esme laughed and applauded her. "I was wondering when you would arrive," she said as soon as her sister sat down. Clearly she hadn't been too far behind, but then they had come in together. At least she was in a much better mood - as was to be expected. But how to get the song out of her head? "I'm sure we can think of something!" |
