Kaycee flopped into one of the empty seats at the table. It hadn't even been 24 hours and she was already anxious and wanting her mirror. UGH. This school year was going to last FOREVER!
She glanced at the plates hoping by some miracle they'd just skip the speech this year.
No luck.
She looked around the table hoping that at least the students had all filed in. But nope. It was still kind of empty. But hey. Maggie was here. She gave her friend a smiled. And there was Zeke. He got a smile too. She wasn't close enough to hear what they were talking about, but it actually didn't seem good.
Hm. She'd have to find out more about that later.
In the meantime, something else caught her eye. Like... what was that thing at the staff table!? It was creepy AND it seemed to be shouting fortunes.
Did they get a random old lady fortune cookie person? Random.
