Ailsa risked a glance over the top of her book when he asked if she was alright, intending a tentative nod. Instead, she found her protective shield of a book suddenly missing from her hands and a rather agitated cousin dominating her view. "We didn't know it was you! I could have been Natalie. Or both of you. Or neither of you and just some magic trinket that you happened on! Mam notified the ministry, they were supposed to handle it!" And now he probably thinks I'm stupid for not helping my cousin.
