Post 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' brand-new Newt Scamander in NYC promo

A new promo of Newt Scamander walking up the steps of of a New York City building, with magical suitcase in hand a large crowd behind him, was released by Empire magazine, who got the chance to speak with the cast and crew on the set of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at Leavesden Studios.

Newt, played by Eddie Redmayne, also seems to be holding a leaflet in his hand that says 'Fighting Modern Evils.'

Empire chatted with Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts' producer David Heyman, who teased a bit about Scamander's background and reason for being in 1920s New York City as backdrop of the first installment of the series.

Quote:
David Heyman: “Newt is a magizoologist who’s just completed a global journey to find and document magical creatures for a book he plans on writing. His case is important because it contains some of the creatures he’s been researching. It may be small, but there’s a whole world within.”

“On some days we’ve had several hundred extras, all done up in 1920s costumes. We are going into the magical world, but we’re bringing the magical characters into the Muggle, or ‘No-Maj’, world.”
More, including interviews with the cast and crew, and new photos, will be released in Empire's upcoming February issue.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, written by J.K. Rowling, hits theaters and IMAX this November.
