No need to get ahead of herself by overanalyzing things that weren't there. "Fine fine, I'll wait til you're redo's done before I do my redo. Cheerio, pip pip!" Did they have any champagne glasses in his bag to toast to their redos? Eh?
Shoo an Auror away with talking. Tori snorted at the very picture of it. "Oooh, fight him how?" She leaned back on her hands a bit, encouraging him to go on. "Muggle style, with fists, or wizard style? I hear Aurors are accomplished wizarding duelers. They can use any means necessary to take down a target." Rawr, right? "Well us Princesses can be awfully picky." She hummed a bit. "But if a true knight is willing to fight for his princess, well, he deserves at least a small token of award for that, ESPECIALLY if he gets a little banged-up in the process." Everyone knew scars were smexy.
THERE, he'd gotten his way. See? All it took was a bit of his smooth radio voice. But since she would do her redo after his, apparently, this meant one thing: he had to do this redo RIGHT! And so he would. He SO would.
"Well, in thaaaaaaaaat case, I s'pose I'll let ya have some explodin' lemonade with me," he grinned as he shifted to retrieve it. Maybe champagne for the second date.
Fight him how? How would he fight that stupid Auror? "Well, I'd fight him any way I had to, 'course! An' I'd win, at that!" His chest may have puffed out an inch or two with that declaration. Possibly. He rolled his eyes as she complimented Aurors and their dueling accomplishments. Pfft. PFFFFT. He wasn't even going to dignify that with a response despite the fact that it was likely true.
But ooh, talk about tokens of gratitude? WELL. Well, well. Paulie was pickin' up what she was puttin' down. The glasses and bottle of lemonade now left to the wayside, Paulie siiiidled up nice and close to Tori again, in fact, even CLOSER this time. "Oh, really?" He wore a cheeky grin and his eyes may have dropped to her lips for a split second. "Aaaand what sorta reward might that be?"
