"Thank you, Dot, really." Thornton smiled and slipped his hand back in his pocket. "I don't know if I'd be the nicest, but you're definitely the most encouraging." Thornton found himself a bit distracted, processing through her babble, and getting just a little caught in her mentioning that there were many new prefects. Rather than see that as encouraging in that he wouldn't be the only one new, he worried a little about whether there was enough experience on the team.

But the word 'girlfriend' snapped him right back to reality. Smile on his face, Thornton looked around. "She should be here soon...." He turned back to Dot. "I.. don't think she mentioned it, no."
