~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Adi could see the surprise on Benny's face when he placed their hands on the table. Yep, he wasn't going to beat around the bush. Breaking the news to the parents was what they were here for, after all. He squished Benny's fingers gently as he continued watching Mr and Mrs Atreyu.
Cassiopeia was obviously very surprised and it seemed Lukas was hiding his a bit. Benny's parents would be more understanding than his own mother, he knew. Adi's eyes went back to his parents as Saieed spoke up, that smirk still on his face. "Honestly, I'm surprised this hadn't happened earlier.'' The remark earned him a sharp look from his wife. The older male Rehman raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you notice Adi is always talking about Benny? It's Benny this and Benny that, even when he was dating AJ.'' He smiled at his son and Benny. "I find nothing wrong with this. I'm happy for you two.'' Adi couldn't help but grin at his dad. "Even if you had told me that I'd end up dating Benny, I wouldn't have believed it.'' Because he had though that AJ had been the one for him. It's funny how life worked out, wasn't it? "Mom?'' Adi had just realised Indira was staring at him as though she had never seen him before. Uh oh. "How long has this been going on for?''
"Since Christmas of last year.'' He glanced at Benny, trying to signal him that everything was going to be okay and not to worry about his mom's attitude.
Indira remained silent, her eyes flicking between her son to Benny, her mind in a whirl. She was conflicted. On one hand she was pleased that Adi had gotten rid of that girl but on the other, he was in a relationship with Benny who was a male. |
