- growing up in a household full of women and small girls has made Bastien very respectful of the opposite sex. But not to the point that he lets them run him over.

- Loyal to a fault to his family and friends.
- Is proud of both his family names, but does not boast about them or even introduce himself with his surname as he prefers to see how people will treat him before they find out about his lineage.

History:

- eldest son of the second eldest Toussaint son and Bott daughter.
- born and raised in Tallin, Estonia, but has traveled all over.
- was tutored at home with his little sister Katherine on a multitude of subjects including magical history and theory, dark arts, ancient runes, potions, herbology, and arithmancy.
- started martial arts and weaponry training at a very young age
- picked up the violin when he was eight and took to it naturally
- met and became friends with Jessa Cambridge
- started attending Durmstrang Institute in 2086 as a first year.
- it was also in his first year that he joined the combat team as a junior expert
- met Rula Botros ; instant friendship
- won competitions and grew in the ranks on combat team while attending Durmstrang, earning himself the title of junior champion
