"Oh kid, never change," he finally said, beckoning her closer. "C'mere so we can shake on that promise and you can walk around wearing your mismatched badges." Oh was he supposed to offer advice?

This was a good deal. Charlotte was HAPPY with this deal. She had to make sure a picture was taken with her wearing the two badges because there needed to be proof about how good she looked wearing them both. OBVIOUSLY SHE COULD ONE DAY BE A BADGEHOLDER FOR MORE THAN ONE HOUSE. OBVIOUSLY THAT WAS A POSSIBLE SITUATION!

"I'll do it good. For a whole year. And then we'll see." She would give Gryffindor a fair chance. "And then I'll write and TELL YOU BOTH all about it okay?" But she was STILL SURE that the hat was wrong. Even if it was nice to hear things that were supposed to be awesome Gryffindor traits that they both thought she embodied.

She scooted close enough for Benzi to put his badge on her and put her hand out for shaking. She also put her OTHER hand out to shake Zander's to save time. TWO SHAKES AT ONCE and also two badges at once.

"I didn't really think about the part where I'd have to go home and they would find out." She confessed. Really she hadn't thought it through in the SLIGHTEST.

"Maybe I should send an owl so it gets there before I do. I could write 'mum I'm actually a Gryffindor'." That saved her actually TELLING them. And maybe they'd just be SO HAPPY TO SEE HER they wouldn't actually be mad about it?
