It wasn't like he could join an extensive productive for the few months that they were out of school. Hogwarts was really bogging down on his career choice.
"Acting classes?" That caught Davie's attention, for sure. His dad had been an actor, at one point, amongst the man other things he had done. "Where do you take acting classes?" Rooney just got a whole lot more interesting, because he was an actor??!??!!? Cool.

Upon arriving, he found a rather glum looking Rooney with a discarded plate. With a frown, Sabel moved over and nudged the kid gently. "Good job in the dueling club, Bronwyn. I'm sure you'll be a force to be reckoned with. Just keep practicing."

There was a Truebridge that caught his eye across the table, and Sabel hesitated a moment before letting out a breath. Moving about to the kid, Sabel casually reached over his shoulder and snagged a small bun. The motion allowed him to lean in close enough to whisper confidentially in his ear so that no one else could hear. "If you're still curious about that memory, talk to Sander." Pulling back, he gave the kid an elbow bump. "Congratulations on reining victorious."

Now, where were......AH HA. There they were.

Stuffing the bun uncerimoniously in his mouth, Sabel chewed on it as he made his way over to the Rider and the Shacklebolt. Stuffing one hand in each pocket, he pulled out two letters, flipped them both about and then handed them to the kids. "As promised."

SPOILER!!: Letter for Benzi Rider

To the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement
Emily Browne,

Please accept this letter as an official recommendation of Benjamin Rider into the YATI program. A graduate from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I have had the opportunity to get to know Rider for the past two years. He has been an active participant in Defense Against the Dark Arts classes as well as the dueling club. In both he has proved a capable and talented wizard, with a knack for resources and fortitude.

While Benjamin can be a little thick skulled and stubborn on emotional will, his heart and morality aligns with all the values which the Department of Magical Law Enforcement adheres to. I have never met an Auror lacking in these qualities, and as such believe him a prime candidate for the molding of the YATI program.

This letter carries my highest recommendation for his placement, as well as expectation for his continued exceptional performance in the program. Should you wish to discuss his character further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

You know where to find me.

Yours,
Sabel Keith Dakest

SPOILER!!: Evangeline Shacklebolt

To the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement
Emily Browne,

Please accept this letter as an official recommendation of Evangeline Shacklebolt into the YATI program. As a graduate from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I have had the opportunity to see Shacklebolt's character over the past two years. She is proud, stubborn and willfully determined. All the qualities of a good Auror that form the base layer for what every Auror becomes. A foundation that cannot be taught or shaped by mere training.

Her willful determination pushes her to excel in every aspect of training and work. Her stubbornness keeps her pushing even when it seems like an impossible thing to do. And her pride keeps her head in moral waters. All three are essential qualities of an Auror in training, and I do not think that you will find any of them lacking in her.

I have had the opportunity to get to know Shacklebolt over the past two years, as a student in Defense Against the Dark Arts classes and an active participant in the dueling club. She has not disappointed in ability or talent, and I believe she will continue that track record into her employment.

This letter carries my highest recommendation for her placement, as well as expectation for her continued exceptional performance in the program. Should you wish to discuss her character further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours,
Sabel Keith Dakest

They could read them when they pleased, or not read them at all. "If you would like to hand them in yourselves, you are more than welcome. However, if you would like me to deliver them personally, then I will do so."

There was no smile for either of them. They both knew how grave of a matter he viewed this as, but that didn't mean he didn't understand. Didn't support them in it. "If you two need anything, you let your co-workers know. You let your Department Head know. You let me know. You got it?"
Wait, what?! Davie hadn't even seen the sneaky DADA professor pop up over his shoulder. His mouth fell open a little bit at the mention of his weird second cousin or whatever... Sander? Sander Bunbury?! SANDER had something to do with that memory?!! Davie was 100% GONNA INVESTIGATE THAT!

Gaping mouth spreading into a grin, Davie hinged in his seat and beamed at the professor. "Thanks, sir! I also wanted to say thanks for running the dueling club. It was a lot of fun. I hope we get to do it again next term." Or even if he didn't duel, he could at least watch some of them!
