Janelle thought: fun-good, consequences-bad. For her, the consequences far outweighed the fun part. She was too much of a thinker. If she even thought about doing something bad, the possible consequences usually popped into her head and that was that.
Still recovering from Zeke's performance, Janelle suddenly frowned at him. "You know, you've kind of ruined Astronomy for me. You're going to get me in big trouble. The next time Professor Flamsteed goes into his schtick, I'm going to think of you and start laughing......a lot. And if he brings Pebbles out.......forget it. I'll probably be banished from the class for uncontrollable laughing."
And then.......she hasn't seen anything yet? Squinting her eyes, Janelle stared at Zeke. "It seems that I may have underestimated you Mr. Browne" She could only imagine what other antics he had up his sleeve. Sheesh. You think you know someone because you had twenty minutes of secret sharing in Ancient Runes class. Janelle was finding out that there was much more to Zeke Browne. Well hey, they all had layers, right? From what he had learned about Janelle, he felt he knew her pretty well.... so when she said THAT, he couldn't keep the look of curiosity of his face. Head titled slightly, he watched her for a moment. "You were grounded?" he questioned, hardly believing it, but excited by it at the same time. "What did you do? I have to know." He'd only been grounded on a handful of times, which considering how long he'd been living with his adopted mum, was actually quite a statistic he supposed. Opportunities for grounding were somewhat slim when you had mercenaries as babysitters. Still, when there was a will there was a way.
Seriously though, she had a good smile on her, so when it turned to a frown, he found himself sliding back on the bench a bit. What did he do?!?!!? ....
But then her response had HIM grinning ear to ear. "Good, who needs Astronomy anyway?" It was a rhetorical question, cause, astronauts needed Astronomy, mmhhmm. "But really, you should start working on a cover story for that if it's going to be an issue." He wouldn't apologise though. Nope. In fact... he wanted to be there when it happened, it was a shame he was dropping the subject next year. Mr. Browne.
That was awfully fancy, he smirked a little. "People tend to do that, " underestimate him, "which isn't a bad thing... means I fly under peoples radars." And it meant he was capable of surprising people - for better and worse.
