Kate glanced around the room as more and more Ravenclaws began piling into the room. She heard a girl (Kitty), slightly older than her, shout out a hello. Even though Kate knew that hello wasn't toward her, Kate waved at the girl anyway. "Hey! I'm Kate," she said. Tia had arrived, too, and Kate gave her a wave from across the room.
"Hey Kate!" responded Kitty, waving back. "I'm Kitty." Kate looked as if she were around the same age as Kitty, but she didn't know for sure. "What year are you in? I'm a fourth year, but this is my first year at Hogwarts."

"Hi Mr. Kitridge!" Kitty smiled shyly at the librarian. "Oh I love being in Ravenclaw!" Kitty answered excitedly. "It's the house I really wanted to be in, I even suggested it to the Sorting Hat. I do miss my old friends though, but we write to each other all the time." Another thing that she liked was how at Hogwarts there didn't seem to be any bullies, or at least not so far. In Romania she had been harassed for using Gothic makeup, and sometimes it had gotten so bad that Kitty would complain to the teachers about it, but that had only made her bullied worse. Kitty hoped that Kitridge didn't know that, but she knew that her mother had written a letter to the school asking them to protect her from bullies. It had been embarrassing.

Fashionably late was Evie's thing today. Or just... late because pajamas weren't really considered fashionable to her. Her own pajamas were silky, pale blue, long and loose fitting, pants with a matching button up top with a pair of white furry slippers to keep her feet warm. Her eyes scanned over the attendees before she gravitated towards the Head Girl and the shy, younger Ravenclaw she was inviting over to the food table. "Hey, Soph. Hi, Kitty." She didn't know the younger girl very well, but she knew that she always seemed a bit shy. Evie glanced at Sophie when Kitty asked if she was going over to the food table. Evie knew Sophie was always busy, and honestly Evie really was here for the food, so... "I'll go with you," she volunteered with a smile tucking her hands in the pockets of her pajamas.
"Hi Evie!" Kitty smiled at the older girl who offered to come with her to eat. She did not know her very well, but she was good at remembering names and knew most of the names of her fellow Ravens. "I like that shade of blue in your pajamas" she said as they walked to the food table. Kitty's pajamas on the other hand consisted of long black robes and black slippers, but that was simply part of her Gothic style. "Wow, this looks great!" she said when they came to the table.
