Benzi Rider took a deep bow, allowing for a few last stray thoughts to bounce around in his head before he took a deep breath and raised his wand. Years of training, thousands of hours of hard work, he felt like all of it had come to this moment right here. He'd proved himself worthy, proved himself a good dueler but to win? That's what he wanted most of all.
Having faced a (ex now) girlfriend and a best friend as his first two opponents, this was the seventh year's first duel against a person he did not have an emotional connection with. Figures he would do it all backwards. He deserved to win though. It was no accident that Benzi was right here right now, and he was going to prove it. Third and final duel, and if he brought his best work to the table he would be number one. As he took up his dueling stance, Benzi felt a calm determination click into place.
He readjusted his grip on his wand. Bring it on, Benjamin Atreyu.
"Protego!" he cast immediately as the disarming spell was, somewhat predictably, tossed his way and sent the spell right back towards his opponent. Wasting no time and using the distraction of Benny's spell, he murmured "skurge" at the floor directly underneath Benny's feet and a shot a tickling jinx up towards his chest too for good measure.
Starting off easy. Just warming up here.
