Thornton was under no illusions that he might win this duel. He considered his win against Dante to be more luck than skill, and so he was almost certain that Zeke would best him. He just hoped it wouldn't be... too embarrassingly.
He'd been practicing, sure, and had a new opening combination that he wanted to try, and so this was at least an opportunity to do that. What had father called this whole endeavor? Character building?
Thornton looks in the direction of the stands as he took the requisite number of paces away from Zeke. Though the charms kept him from seeing Paige, he still smiled in the direction of where he assumed she'd be. He just hoped he wasn't too... mangled or gross by the end of it.
Turning to face Zeke, Thornton wiped his hand on his pants and considered that he may need a gripping charm if his palms stayed that clammy. Bowing, he looked up with a small grin.
"Go easy, ok?" He said this full-voiced, but then quickly followed with two whispered spells, with precise wand movements.
Curse of the Bogies. And the Bat Bogie Hex. Right at Zeke.
If you were going to turn bogies into bats, might as well up the bogie production, right?
