Kate glanced around the room as more and more Ravenclaws began piling into the room. She heard a girl (Kitty), slightly older than her, shout out a hello. Even though Kate knew that hello wasn't toward her, Kate waved at the girl anyway. "Hey! I'm Kate," she said. Tia had arrived, too, and Kate gave her a wave from across the room.

She ducked as their male prefect called for them to watch their heads. She dared a sneak peek a moment later, only to see most of the furniture floating. Dear Merlin!

She heard her name mentioned then, and she turned to see Sophie. "Mmkay. Well, just let me know if you need me for anything," she replied. So...what now? It just seemed like a lot of setting up right now. Maybe she should go say hey to Davie. They hadn't properly talked in a while. "Hey, Davie! How ya been?" she asked.
