If only it was like Charms or Potions, where A + B = C. Oh well.
He placed his fork on his plate, he wouldn't be needing it any longer, especially not with the look Janelle was giving him. Was it just him? Or did she look tempted by his proposition? But then no, she didn't seem as responsive to the idea as he thought. "You should, I wouldn't lie to you." He smirked a little, contemplating how she might respond if he kidnapped her and dragged her into one of his adventures with Amur. It was always hard bringing in third parties, he found that few could keep up with them... it was probably best for everyone else that way.
As much as he disliked performing, taking on the role of Professor Flamsteed was fairly easy... the man was easy to impersonate - in his opinion - as well as fun. One of the first things he admired about his Head of House was the man's ability to jump on tables and just BE present. Very present. Too present sometimes. But perhaps the best part about performing for the Ravenclaw, was seeing her laugh. It suited her.
Crazy? Yes he was... just a little. Grinning, he plopped potato!pebbles down right beside her plate, turning it so it's eyes were staring her way. "Oh you haven't seen anything yet," he assured her, whispering back. His hazel eyes scanned the staff table again it looked as though he was in the clear for now. Though word of his outburst had the potential to reach his Head of House's ears.
Janelle couldn't quite picture Zeke getting into to trouble, but after his table hopping rendition of Professor Flamsteed........maybe she could. Then he gave her that look. It was that-I'm about to get into some serious mischief, don't you want to come along-look. Wouldn't lie huh?
"The last time I heard that, I was grounded for a week." Janelle thought: fun-good, consequences-bad. For her, the consequences far outweighed the fun part. She was too much of a thinker. If she even thought about doing something bad, the possible consequences usually popped into her head and that was that.
Still recovering from Zeke's performance, Janelle suddenly frowned at him.
"You know, you've kind of ruined Astronomy for me. You're going to get me in big trouble. The next time Professor Flamsteed goes into his schtick, I'm going to think of you and start laughing......a lot. And if he brings Pebbles out.......forget it. I'll probably be banished from the class for uncontrollable laughing."
And then.......she hasn't seen anything yet? Squinting her eyes, Janelle stared at Zeke.
"It seems that I may have underestimated you Mr. Browne" She could only imagine what other antics he had up his sleeve. Sheesh. You think you know someone because you had twenty minutes of secret sharing in Ancient Runes class. Janelle was finding out that there was much more to Zeke Browne. Well hey, they all had layers, right?
