"I could never learn like that, I felt as though most of it was improvisation, but the thing I've noticed is that we're not really taught the purpose of the lessons, how we're supposed to apply the knowledge... and even that seems a bit thin." The books, the books helped with that... but again, not the application of the understandings. "I dunno, I'm just... trying to get through it."

Stabbing some more salad onto the end of his fork, he raised it to his mouth and devoured it - all the while watching Janelle and her spaghetti. He was glad to hear she was well, but he couldn't help but chuckle a little. "But the trouble is where the fun is at," he asserted, hazel eyes locked on her. Keeping out of trouble was surely boring, safe, but boring. It was by no means a criticism of her though, but he was tempted to perhaps drag her into a little trouble. Something minor...

But how were things? Zeke nodded, "Yeah, good, great actually." He had no complaints. Classes were going well, training was going well, he was successful with his duels, things with Maggie were great. No complaints.

And then laughter ensued.

Zeke grinned, amused with her laughter, so much so that she had his full attention, his rabbit food forgotten. She didn't need to apologise, but he DID want to know what was so funny. Somehow though, he didn't expect it to be him. "Oh, that," he mused, getting an idea.

Without a seconds hesitation, Zeke climbed onto the bench and then onto the table, side stepping the plates and going for a baked potato. Circle it was hot. With the potato in his hand, and two eye-holes poked into it, Zeke mock-fixed his 'suit' by pulling down at his sweater and smoothing down the edges, he then marched a couple of paces past Janelle, his voice taking on a similar flamboyance to their Astronomy Professor. "And the celestial bodies of asteroids and meteors will one day shower down upon us, and pebbles here will be reunited with her alien rock family!"

Actually. Whoops. Zeke suddenly paused, remembering where he was and looking to the staff dais before scooting off the table and sliding back to sit beside Janelle. Heh.
