Glad that was settled then. Cookies were the best distractors, Zander had to admit. And then the head nod of an approval did just that to prove it. Good, good. First years were great because they were very easy to distract. It's how he managed to get that Kettleburn girl to head to the Gryffindor common room after she had been so adamant about being a Ravenclaw. First years were good people. Er, even though he wasn't completely sure if this kid was one. Had a new face. And easily distracted. Not to mention that he was tiny as anything. So yes, definitely a firstie.

"I wouldn't have guessed it, honestly," he chuckled. "You are two very different people." Well, obviously. But in all seriousness, this kid was like Professor Dakest compared to Ellery. Very calm and serious. Ellery on the other hand.... Interesting character.

"I'm Zander Adair, nice to meet you," he grinned politely. Eh also should he have introduced himself as the Head Boy? Nah. Irrelevant. And he was wearing a badge. Probably easy enough to figure that much out. Zander would give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. First years were always somewhat capable.
