Even as he braced himself and half expected the use of wordless magic by Adi, it still felt like a surprise as the spell suddenly hit him and lifted him up off the ground. Benny flailed just a little as he rose higher and higher, finally reaching close enough to the spot they had picked out from the ground. Managing to get used to the floating, he took hold of his wand to get to work.
"Flipnsnipwitit!" he cast to start, trimming some dead leaves. "Flipnsnipwitit!" Now the branch was trimmed slightly. But both gave him a better look at the actual tree that had been covered only to have him spot some nasty looking dead bark. That required another spell. And more cautious attention to his work so he didn't go too deep and cause harm instead of good. Taking a deep breath to prepare and gather his floating self, his wand was raised once more.
"Diffindo..." There that underlying bark looked better. Benny looked down and waved to Adi. "One spot down....your turn." Aka, time to lower him down for a bit.
Cue the small snort. As if, Benny. But Adi had a playful expression on his face as he concentrated on getting the boyfriend up to the selected tree and spot. He also did not miss the surprised look. Woops! Probably he should have given more of a warning but oh, well. Maybe the next time he would.

It was never too difficult for Adi to levitate a human but he found himself focusing a lot more. Yep, it sure did help to concentrate more when you were working on keep someone you loved out of any harm as they had established in one of the Charms classes.
He remained focused as he watched Benny (after briefly looking towards AJ which caused him to feel a mountain of guilt for hurting her. Though in his defense, NO ONE should ever ask him to choose between them and his best friend) work on the tree. Maybe that was a bad thing? Watching Benny work, we mean, because Adi was getting distracted by his face. Haha. Quick! Before he lost focus he must zone in on something else!
"Why does he have to be so darn handsome?'' the prefect muttered as he glued his bespectacled eyes to a random spot on the tree.
Yup, so far, so good. Adi could hear Benny saying incantations but he only looked up when the other guy spoke to shake his head, his lips forming a small smirk. Why let him down yet? The Puff, with intent as Baxter had taught them, moved his wand in the hope of directing his boyfriend to a nice, smallish group of bugs he had just noticed. The said group obviously lived in that hole he was hoping to get Benny to because Adi could see a few flying out.
