Lux rubbed her temples as she felt the headache that was starting to form in the back of her skull.

Her Ancient Runes textbook lay open before her on the desk, but she did not have it in her to study anymore. WHY had she decided to take all 12 NEWTs? Looking back on the decision, she felt that it had been pure lunacy.

Problem with Lux was that she could be a bit of a perfectionist. Failure scared her, and she felt the need to prove to herself that she could excel at any subject.

She couldn't give up.
