Wait, wait. Things were moving too fast for Oliver to keep up. He was still working on separating the petals of his sneezewort. Speaking of which, that was a funny name for a plant. It sounded like it would make somebody sneeze or something. He didn't pause to dwell on that fact for too long, because he had to hurry to catch up. He had to chop the leaves of his alihotzy and grind the moonstone. He hoped he'd gotten enough because it would just waste time later if he had to grind more. But as soon as he thought it was probably the right amount he moved onto the next step. He did not want to get even more behind.
The start of the actual potion making was easy. It was just filling the cauldron with water. Olly knew how to do that. He cast Aguamenti, of course. Was that purified water? He certainly hoped so because that was the only water spell he knew. He didn't have time to ask though, and honestly did he really care? The answer was no. He just wanted to move on to the more interesting parts of making the potion.
Like fire, yes that would do. He knew that spell too, and it was a lot more interesting than just conjuring water. "Incendio." Oliver lit the fire under his cauldron and set it to the highest setting possible. Apparently Amortentia needed a lot of heat. Did he have to wait for the water to boil or anything? Olly glanced up at the board, but all it said was to add the sneezewort. He had that all ready since it had to be prepared earlier, so he simply picked it up and plopped it into his cauldron. Yes, it made a noise that sounded like plop but he didn't add it from a very high height so it didn't splash or anything. Because that was bad, right?
Stirring. Oliver wanted to do something more interesting. Or see the potion turn different colors. Something that was not just menial labor. He held his wand toward the metal stick and cast "Scourgify." Then he stirred the potion. One, two....eight times.
