He didn't love Herbology, he didn't really even like the greenhouses ether, but they were one of the quieter spots in the castle for one, and for two; well, he knew he would be bored enough there that he would be almost forced to do his homework. Something the boy had been slacking on quite a bit lately.

There was just so much of it, every Professor was dropping workload after workload on the seventh year class in prep for their NEWTs, and Damien had been doing fine, absolutely fine, until this past week when his brain had just stopped processing words. It was like he had a mental block keeping him from absorbing any more information on anything and the seventh year lion was becoming slightly panicked over it.

Bad NEWT scores meant.... Well.. Actually, would it mean anything to him? Damien didn't even know what he was really doing after school other than that he wanted to maybe work as an unspeakable, or at least work in the weirder branches of magical research, but how the hell did someone even start to train for that?

The young man rubbed his face, wandering through the Greenhouse with little care as to what direction he moved in, all thoughts of homework forgotten in the wake of these newer, more worrying thoughts. Glancing around, Damien noticed that a large, brilliantly green and lush Fir seemed to be... almost swaying as he neared it, as if moved by a breeze that didn't exist, it was strange in itself but the Greenhouse was full of strange things, in fact, the entire castle was full of the absolute weirdest stuff ever, one of the reasons he loved it so much.

The Fir (he assumed it was a fir, it looked very much like the christmas trees Barton brought home every year), was still swaying, it's needles almost seemed to be bristling as Anderson-Belfort drew nearer, until the young man was right in front of it.

Damien didn't know what he was expecting, or why he was standing this close to a plant he didn't recognize, but there was something to the fir, a fresh, clean scent mixed with something sweet, that drew him in and made him stop and take a deep breath. Maybe it would all be okay, maybe he'd just needed this walk along nature to clear his head, yes. He would go back to his homework, finish it all and then start looking into what it would take to become an Unspeakable! And he's Owl Apollo too, the man probably knew a something on the subject. And any info would be better than nothing.

With a grin on his face and a new sense of resolve, Damien Anderson-Belfort turned on his heel to make his way back to the little bench where his things were, only to suddenly, forcefully be pulled back, by two large, evergreen green branches that wrapped themselves around the young man's arms and middle, pulling him to the Fir's trunk. "WHAT THE-" Damien wriggled about, eager to be free.

And that was when he saw the little sign:

Flesh-Eating Fir.

A yell, loud and panicked ripped through Damien, and he struggled further. HE WAS NOT ABOUT TO BE EATEN By A DAMN CHRISTMAS TREE IMPOSTER.
