| Otter This World ♡ Catpurrccino ♡ Slotherin ♡ Pandamonium SPOILER!!: Brooklyn
Oh, she knew that little detail that Professor Dakest wasn’t mentioning in his explanation of ways to avoid the curse. That seventh year Hufflepuff had indirectly mentioned it when she’d brought up Harry Potter, after all. Either way, Brooklyn had remained silent. Calculating, observing. Analysing the reactions as people had started filtering up to the pensieve. Of course she hadn’t kept herself away, stepping up to it once the last person had walked away looking shaken. She wasn’t afraid. Not of a memory. Not even as she’d been sucked in and landed on the floor of the trashed building. She just kept reminding herself that it was a memory. It was like a dream, except it wasn’t really happening to her. It was a learning experience, something she could use.
Except it had been difficult keeping herself entirely separate. As she’d comeback, she’d blinked a few times, but otherwise very little reaction had shown on her face. Only people who had known her well, of which there were very few here at the castle, would have known how shaken she really was. She refused to let anyone else see her feeling weak, but she’d still found herself looking around until her blue eyes landed on Hady. Maybe she was close enough, and if anything, she trusted her not to mess up and hurt her. Since they were supposed to work with a partner, anyhow, and she made her way over to her dorm mate. Not saying a word but hoping she understood.
As her gaze swung from person to person they locked on a pair of blue ones. A familiar pair that seemed to speak the same as hers. They wouldn't say a word about their previous trial with the pensieve for none was needed. Hady silently met her fellow snake halfway.
She knew it wasn't needed to be agreed upon. The girls would be partners for this activity. If anyone could be trusted right then to not harm her it was Brooklyn. "Mind if I get us started?" The question was spoken flatly as she fingers the smooth wood of her wand her fingers moving to grip it tightly in her hand then. Right now she just wanted to get this over with. The memory was to clear in her mind and what was needed to block it out there wasn't time for. That being, she only had one choice. Move forward.
Hady took several large steps backwards as she got herself a safe distance away. There would be no messing this up. No injuries. Taking in a breath only to let it out slowly she raised her wand when she saw Brooklyn was ready. There was a line to the side and a forwards flick from her wand, "Persequoris!"
As the green light from the tip of her wand shot towards the other Slytherin girl Hady almost wanted to look away. She knew it wasn't what it was intended to look like but with the memory on her mind it was a bit nerve rattling.
