Hogwarts RPG Name:
Helena Ravenclaw
Default
Resident Ghost of Ravenclaw | Intelligent & Evasive

Floating into the dark classroom, she glowed in a pale eerie light as she made her way up to her desk in front of the blackboard. With a small in audible snap of her fingers Helena turned on the lights in the room thinking that she was early and that the students had yet to arrive. It took all her practice as a lady to not yelp out in surprise. Instead she smiled faintly out, at the already assembled students saying. "Ah, how good of you to be here early for class. It's always better to be too early then to be late don't you think?"

SPOILER!!: Individual replies

In the front row Adi had already taken a seat. "Afternoon Adi, how are prefect duties going?" Helena greeted.

"Afternoon Hady." Helena said with an elegant wave of the hand to the snakette. "Sorry about the darkness."

They probably couldn't see it, but she didn't mind.
The professor didn't seem to be there yet, so Jet carefully and quietly walked towards one of the walls and took a seat in that area.
"Hello Ms Wolford." Helena greeted flashing yet another snakette a thin smile. "Do you like sitting close to walls?"

Turning her gaze Helena's eyes fell on yet another member of the snake house. "Afternoon Phillip, I hope you excuse the first darkness?"

But still, he took the first seat available and sat down. He did not want to have to walk around in the dark room any longer than necessary.
Where were all the eagles and lions and badgers Helena couldn't help but wonder as her eyes stopped on a snake sitting way in the back. "Hello Oliver, why are you sitting so far back?" She asked.

She found a seat after only stumbling once!
Woo hoo for her! She looked around and smiled at the other kids.. Though really who knew if they could see her!
"Hello Syah, you didn't injure yourself on a way to a seat in the dark?" Helena queried politely.

"Afternoon Zander. Could you cast some heating spells to warm up the room?" Helena asked. The head boy was there so she'd make use of his help.

"Hello Norah.." Helena greeted the badger prefect. "Could you stir up coal in the cauldrons so we can get some warmth to bat away the harsh cold in the room."

Once she could see well enough, Paulina made her way over to a seat. Hopefully Professor Helena would be here soon... and could turn on the light.
"Hello Paulina, I hope you didn't injure yourself on the way to a seat?" Helena greeted.

He picked his way cautiously through classmates like Paulina and Zander giving them each a polite greeting, and desks until he came to the familiar form of Adi.
"Hey..." he said sitting down at a nearby desk.
"Afternoon Benny." Helena greeted the lion sitting next to Adi. "Sorry about the darkness. I didn't think you'd all get here this early."

It felt strange to be back in the HoM classroom, after he had worked so hard to avoid it. But this was his opportunity to 'make amends' and he wasn't going to give up.
The next lion Helena's pale eyes stopped on was Zeke. He had held his promise and was there to attend class."Hello Zeke," she greeted with a faint smile. "Did you light your way to a seat?" Meaning did he use magic?

It seemed the best direction to head in out of any, and she made it to a desk near her housemate relatively unscathed. Her eyesight had adjusted enough that she hadn’t ran into any of the other desks anyhow. So it was a success in her eyes.
"Afternoon Brooklyn." Helena greeted the next snakette to arrive. If the Baron was here he'd be delighted by the number of snakes in attendance. She on the other hand wondered where all the eagles had gotten to but class wasn't starting just yet. There was time. "You sustained no injuries on your way to a seat?"

Spotting a lioness in the back Helena beckoned her forward now that everyone could see. "Afternoon Ava, come sit closer to the front. It's colder closer to the door."

Also, cauldrons? Hmm... Hmm indeed.
"Hello Owen," Helena greeted the first year badger boy. "You are allowed to use magic in my classroom if you know what spell to us."

Looking out over the student's smiling faintly still Professor Helena said "We'll wait a few more minutes before we get started to let more student's join us. I'm sorry that you all had to enter a dark classroom I wasn't expecting you all to be this early." She did though appreciate their eagerness to learn.

OOC: Feel free to keep arriving into the now lit classroom. I'll start the lesson officially in a few hours.
