Besides, he was the chill one in their relationship, so it was easy to keep his emotions at bay. He had prepared himself for that conversation anyway. Just like in any game, the outcome of their conversation will either be a win or lose situation.

So far, so good.

The dragonologist had a grin on his face, as he massaged Sophie's hand. While they were both silent, Mordred was already imagining things like...massaging Sophie's back when her belly's gone too large...or maybe her feet when she can no longer walk properly...Merlin. All those things, he knew, Sophie will have to endure while she carried their child. The former Slytherin then looked at his wife, and kissed her forehead. "I love you, Sophie." Of course, he wanted for them to have a child. He just couldn't imagine the things that she has to go through to give him one. How in the world can he even repay her for that, yeah?

It didn't take long for her to give him an answer. Mordred knew she wanted to have kids, but his wife was too kind to consider his reluctance. "We'll do this together." he finally said, hugging the woman beside him. "Though, I may have...cheated a bit. I did some light reading months ago about pregnancy, so...I won't be too...shaken." Mordred held his breath, hoping that Sophie won't get mad about his secret stash of parenthood magazines in his office desk. "I just...needed a bit of self help to get through my anxiety..." Well, she can do some light reading too if she wants? Mordred will be more than happy to give the semi-battered magazines to her.

Right, bouncing on her seat was probably not a very good idea now, especially since she was still kind of trying to keep Mordred from panicking. Seeming like she was super excited about having a baby could make things blow out of proportion and the last thing she wanted was to freak him out to the point he regreted having started that conversation in the first place.

Aw <33 Sophie hugged her husband back because he was the best. Her eyes did widen and she distanced herself a little bit from him so she could look up at his face when he said he had cheated a bit. What in the world could that even mean???

????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!

At first she couldn't believe it, but then Mordred's words made her chuckle. "Light reading about pregnancy?" Now she was amused! So he was more afraid of when she was pregnant than actually have an infant to look after? "I promise I won't be terrible when I'm pregnant." Or at least she would try. How much could someone actually change while pregnant, though? Not much, she didn't think?

................Elliot, though. That one changed. A lot. And by a lot she meant a LOT. It even scared Sophie a little.

Right, back to their reality. "I'll try to stay the same." ...Could she promise that? Well, she already had. Now she would have to hope for the best.

She smiled at him and squeezed his hands a little as she finally bounced slightly. He needed a bit of self help. How adorable was that? "I know. That's okay. There's no need to be anxious though, yeah?" Sophie brushed some of his amazingly wonderful hair off his forehead. "We're okay. I mean, nothing's happened yet. And it'll only happen when... you're... ready." ... "Yeah?"
