Maybe Zach and him could occupy each other while Justin was busy. "I promise he won't scratch up your furniture again." Shifty wide grin. He knew better now.
Justin had to laugh at his sense of humour. "Sounds like they had a good time." He hadn't been to Prague himself, but knew of the fascinating sights there. "Maybe you'll get to go next time." Whether it's his parents treat or.. someone else's.
No kidneys for him, "Suit yourself." Justin was treating regardless of what he ate as he waited on their food to arrive. "I believe this is for you, mate. A Happy Belated Birthday gift." Sliding across a little parcel for him. Zach's ears perked up a little bit when Justin mentioned his cat. Extra company? He chuckled at the mention of his furniture being scratched up. Luckily it was easy to fix. "You won't miss him too much?" he asked. Admittedly, the idea of a pet around the house sounded a bit nice. Something furry to keep his toes warm at night. Hmmm.
He grinned at his comment. "Maybe I'll take you with me." Really, they needed to go on a vacation. Perhaps in the summer, when Justin was out of work.
Happy as a clam in the warm restaurant, Zach was just about to slide his arm around Justin's shoulder when he mentioned a belated birthday gift. His eyebrows rose at the parcel Justin slid across the table to him and a grin spread on his face. Awww, he had gotten him something. How sweet. His parents weren't much into gifts now that their kids were grown up, but he had gotten a couple Prague souvenirs. Zach excitedly opened the package and opened up a big, soft furry hat with ear flaps. He recognized it immediately and grinned even more. "You're giving me your hat?" he asked, looking over at him. It did hold some meaning to them and he would be more than happy to accept it. |
