The first thing Davie noticed when he walked into the Dueling Club meeting was the grass. Ooh, this was different. Was he supposed to check for dark creatures hiding in the grass or something? The second thing he noticed was Ava Burton, and he most definitely was not going to go sit by her. He was maybe still a little bitter that he had lost his duel to her. Just a little bitter. He did greet the professor in charge with a nod, just to be polite.
Then he drifted a little closer to Rooney, to have someone to stand near, and fiddled with his wand while he waited for the meeting to start.
