After talking to Cutty in the bathroom, Zander made a beeline for his dormitory. Merlin, he didn't think it would be that easy. Hardly even had to do any convincing to get the job. Cutty was willing to give it to him just like that. Maybe for all these years Zander Adair had been wrong about the Slytherin. Huh. Who would've thought?!
The seventh year was more than just elated as he jumped on his own bed and leaning over it to pull out a small box from underneath it. He slowly lifted the top of the box off, and peered inside to take a look at the contents within it. Thank Merlin he was making some progress. Reaching into his pocket, the Gryffindor pulled out the envelope he had received from one of his brothers.
Before adding it into the box, he totaled everything up and scribbled down another number on a piece of parchment, scratching out the old number above it. Excellent. Finally making some progress here.
He grinned to himself. He'd have reached his goal in no time at all.
