Did Rooney know that he was the most dapper young man of all time? Because he absolutely was. Sweet Merlin. And he had a card for her? Adorable. She took it gratefully, offering him her thanks and a huge grin, but she wasn't going to open it... just yet. Unless he wanted her to. Did he want her to? In case it was a big long personal letter, she was gonna wait until he urged her to crack the card open.

Was he sick, though? Soph smiled despite her concern over his coughing and pulled the boy in for a hug, laughing softly at his comment about the flowers that weren't there. "They're lovely, aren't they?" she played along, releasing him from the hug before gesturing to HIS seat, where the package currently resided before moving toward her own chair. "Just so y'know, I know we're not supposed to have real food 'n tea 'n stuff, but if y'do want nourishment, I've got snacks 'n proper tea for us. Y'know, just in case." She gestured subtly over to the table next to them for him to SEE that she'd gotten all that light tea party food for him, but for the purposes of the assignment, they were gonna at least ATTEMPT to do this right. Mostly. Probably.

"You look very charming and handsome, by the way," she curtsied in his direction before taking her seat, and offered a sly sort of smile before adding, "Oh, and I got you something. Just... because." She nodded her head toward the boy's chair and looked far too pleased with herself. The mirror inside would keep them connected no matter how far away they were from each other, as she had the other one in the pair, which would be especially useful if he ever needed a pep talk after she graduated.

Or who knew? Maybe Soph would miss this little ball of sunshine a whole lot and want his company, too. But who wouldn't, really? He was everything.
